Thank you Leni. I am English and was raised in a pasta free home, except for Alpha-getti for school aged lunches. I had no idea about any of this and found it fascinating. As a Nona-less person, I tend to buy the inexpensive pasta and rely on my wife or my youngest child to determine when pasta is ready to eat. I may change my buying habits based on your writing, because after all, as a senior, I am still very price conscious.
