For me it is chipmunks and bunnies! Plus an annoying groundhog. They are cute but tend to do some damage with the digging! The are cute enough not to interfere with my overall zen though.
Squash is a favourite of mine, but I've not had much success with it in my garden. 3rd year I've failed at it! My tomatoes and peppers are fantastic and abundant though!
Lovely read. I too have spent the summer close to home with my deck as my office. I will enjoy it for as long as I can before heading inside for the long dark winter.
I'm not ready to truly think about long dark winter. I'm hoping for a long pleasant fall. I catch myself mentally talking to the trees begging them to slow down their adoption of colourful autumn regalia. I love Canada. Winter not so much!
Your summer sounds idyllic!
For me, it was long walks along local trails and evenings in the garden with my squirrels.
I’m definitely carrying that calm into the fall or at least trying to.
Happy Friday Leni :)

They do damage alright.
My patio furniture is all chewed up lol
Have a good weekend Leni
Blackberry jam, squash, potatoes and tomatoes from my backyard garden. Just a little way to feel connected.
