Good to read this! All the media need to do is reframe the statement about parliamentary recess by calling it “constituency time” or “home season” - what would be so wrong or so difficult about that?

By the same token, teachers love their summer break, but why not call it “family time”? (I’m a retired teacher)

As best I can remember and tell, this attitude toward congressional recesses doesn't exist in the US. Mildly surprising, given the low approval ratings of congress. This might be because the US congress has shorter recesses, but more of them.
