I'll just say it ... I'm exhausted by the unceasing rush of the enshittified news stream. But you help, a lot. Thanks Leni. Happy Holidays.

It is exhausting and draining. My own relief comes from actively looking for proof of positives. Not always easy, but always worthwhile if only for personal sanity. In my own journey, it is people like you who help keep me grounded in hope and positivity. You've made my journey lighter and better....and I sincerely thank you for that. I wish you and yours all the best this holiday season and for 2026. Happy Holidays.

Your take on those quiet acts of care rings true, especially with systems under strain. StatsCan's 2024 survey found 36% of Canadians waited three months or more for a specialist, fueling anxiety and pain for many. But as you say, it's the unpaid persistence - checking in, explaining patiently - that holds the real infrastructure together.

We face many challenges in Canada. Most often with quiet fortitude in all seasons. Thank you for the important reminder of the pressures people are carrying, often quietly. What I wanted to hold space for here was exactly what you name at the end: the unpaid persistence, the checking in, the patience that keeps things from fraying further, even when systems are strained. Especially at this time of year.
